Hi! I’m Hannah.
I began my bodywork journey in August 2016 when I enrolled in a massage therapy program in Charleston, SC. I had been living with chronic pain for about 4 years at that point and was feeling disillusioned with western medicine’s approach to pain management. I decided to pursue massage therapy to help people like me manage their pain and improve their quality of life without having to turn to pills, shots, or surgery as a first line of defense.
Unfortunately, I did not have the full picture of my own health condition and I quickly burned out. In 2018, I had a major health crisis.
I alternated between a wheelchair and a walker for six months and walked with a cane for about a year and a half after that. During that time I bounced from job to job trying to find something I could manage in my state of disability - from tattoo shop receptionist to Medicare supplement insurance agent.
Then in June 2020, after two-and-a-half months of rest (thank you lockdown), I had the opportunity to rejoin the bodywork world as a massage therapy instructor. This opportunity allowed me to ease back into the wellness world and meet a great friend and mentor (go check out Lucas Foote at Chipeta Lodge if you’re ever in Ridgeway Colorado).
Since then, I have been slowly but surely finding a way to balance my health with my career and build a brand that I can be proud of. So, while I am still dedicated to providing quality massage therapy, I am branching out into web design and photography. Both have been hobbies of mine for awhile so I am leveraging those skills to help other wellness and beauty professionals build and elevate their businesses.

My Education
High School
I’m including this because a lot of people find it fun to learn that I was homeschooled in middle and high school. That’s all.
Associate in Science
I received my Associate in Science degree from Trident Technical College in North Charleston, SC in August 2013.
This was a bonus degree I earned as I pursued my bachelor’s.
Bachelor of Arts
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the College of Charleston in December 2014. I received a BA instead of a BS because I didn’t take Organic Chemistry 2 or Physics 2. I chose to graduate rather than spend more time and money taking classes I didn’t need.
Massage Certificate
I received my massage certificate in December 2018 from Trident Technical College. I then went on to pass the MBLEX and qualify as a licensed massage therapist.
I belong to the American Massage Therapy Association.

My Professional Highlights
Lead Therapist
I was named Lead Massage Therapist at the Massage Envy Franchise where I worked in 2021. That year, I was also named Therapist of the Year and nominated for a national title.
In this role, I had a few responsibilities, but mainly: onboarding and training new therapists and tutoring interns to help them pass the MBLEx (our licensing exam).
Massage Instructor
Though somewhat short-lived, I greatly enjoyed (most) of my time teaching massage therapy. Through teaching a new cohort of therapist and working side by side with my mentor, I definitely left that experience a better massage therapist in my own right.
I taught subjects such as: Anatomy & Physiology, Pathology, Kinesiology, Massage Technique, Ethics, Business, and more.
General Manager
In 2023, I started working at a StretchLab franchise as a Flexologist (their proprietary name for someone who does assisted PNF stretching). I built my clientele, nurtured relationships, and made a few friends amongst my coworkers.
Then, in 2024, I was promoted to General Manager at my location. To say I learned a lot would be an understatement. I feel so much more prepared to be a business owner after my experience with StretchLab.
Business Owner
I did it! I’m official! In 2025, I became an official business owner with the formation of Winterlight Wellness LLC.
I am so excited to build my own brand and bring my flavor of massage therapy to the Charlotte area.
